Rethink the very nature of high school itself

Related to the current video we are showing this week for our INSPIRATION is this article from the New York Times by Susan Engel titled, "Let Kids Rule the School":
We want young people to become independent and capable, yet we structure their days to the minute and give them few opportunities to do anything but answer multiple-choice questions, follow instructions and memorize information. We cast social interaction as an impediment to learning, yet all evidence points to the huge role it plays in their psychological development.

That’s why we need to rethink the very nature of high school itself.

Season 2

LUNCHTIME INSPIRATION professional development will be held this year at both the Lower School and the Upper School. The same video will be shown at all locations and times each week.

No requirement, no planning, no pressure; just come and enjoy your lunch while watching inspiring videos about peace, education, creativity, and ideas.

Lower School
  • Library
  • Thursdays Lunchtime (2 showings – 12:00 and 12:30)
  • BYOL (bring your own lunch)
  • Drinks and snacks provided

Upper School 
  • Location may rotate
  • Every Monday and Tuesday (one showing at 11:30)
  • BYOL (bring your own lunch)
  • Drinks and snacks provided
